Becoming a Canadian Host Family:
If you have ever wondered what other cultures are like, how they cook, educate their children or what is important to them and their families, hosting a foreign student can answer these and many more questions.
Providing an international student with a safe and comfortable place to live and learn is a unique opportunity to learn about people from around the world. Homestay is a wonderful way for students to improve their English, learn more about Canadian culture and meet wonderful new people. Students interested in living in a homestay must stay at least a two week period but many stay much longer depending on your requirements.
Canadian families
wanting to host students must provide a student with a private room /
apartment / suite which is furnished
with a bed, dresser, desk and closet space.
Host families are paid by the
students directly every two-four week period in cash.
Host families are paid only for the time the student resides in their home.
